Lucie Brione - French Technical Translations
I am a freelance translator specialising in IT from English into French. Other specialities are Telecommunications and Health and Safety.
I hold an MA in Translation Studies from the University of Manchester and a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from Brighton University. I also have 11 years working experience in computing as a programmer and as a technical support analyst. This work requires accuracy: a computer program with a spelling mistake does not run! A program error can be caused by a very subtle logic fault, and its resolution requires both attention to detail and persistence. I apply these transferable skills in translation work and approach everything that I do with a logical mind.
As well as IT related documents I translate most types of technical and general documents. Do not hesitate to get in touch, even if your document is not about computers, or is not technical. Please note however, that I do not accept any legal, financial, or marketing translations.
I am an Associate of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (www.iti.org.uk) and a full member of the NWTN (North West Translators' Network).
